Grants! Donations! Volunteer! Fundraising!

Soo..

Today I met with Yvonne Watterson who I LOVE. She runs Alhambra College Prep, and she has been dreaming of building a garden at her school.

I will upload the pictures to this blog soon, but to put it in verbal perspective, the school's layout is a Produce Arizona DREAM.COME.TRUE! It's an open-air campus with TONS of potential gardening space.

There's space at Alhambra College Prep for a farmer's market, place for music, and even a little building for arts and crafts, indoor plants, and an indoor market. How cool!!

I'll keep you posted. This just keeps getting better and better!

Better Than Expected

It's been awhile since I've updated the blog, mostly because there has been SO MUCH going on! I apologize for keeping you in the dark... here's the great news!

On Saturday, Cat called me to tell me that a woman (Yvonne) who consigns at the store (PLRG) runs a charter school (Alhambra College Prep) and has been looking for someone to run the garden... who better than Produce Arizona! She loved the idea, and I am meeting with her on Wednesday to check out the school...
